There must be thousands of personal websites where independent singer-songwriters, musicians, and other music enthusiasts place their music online. Thank you for stumbling upon michaeldorseymusic, and I hope mine is different enough for you to take a few minutes to listen to what this website offers.
This short bio does not contain any great musical accomplishments or much personal information. I am a very simple, self-taught singer-songwriter with limited musical abilities and limited vocal talent. What I attempt to do is to tell stories through memorable melodies with well-crafted lyrics and a hopefully powerful message. You will hear songs about faith, hope, and love, but most importantly, God’s love for us. A recurring message in many of my songs is God’s plan for salvation through His Son, Jesus. This is by far the greatest story ever told.
Music and lyrics for every song were written by me. At times, other musicians and vocalists contributed to the production, and I thank them and give them credit where it is due. Most songs were recorded at home on whatever I could find, even my cell phone. So please excuse the recording quality, occasional pitch issues, and general musical production. I do the best with what little I have.
I hope that you, as a listener, will find my music comforting, joyful, and uplifting. Most importantly, my purpose is to remind you of God’s love for you; and through faith in Jesus, there is peace, joy, and love waiting for you.
